Dale Joe Hickman

Dale Joe Hickman, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Sue Leard Hickman; cherished son of the late Harold and Annie Hickman. Devoted father of Tim (Dawn) Hickman and Amy (Daniel) Davidson; loving grampy of six grandsons, Brendon, Ian, Dylan, Alec, Benjamin and William; dear brother of Harold (Sharon) Hickman, Jr., the late Neal Hickman, and the late Gale Luetkenhaus; Sister-in-Law, Yvonne Hickman; uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Dale proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Pilot Grove Hunting Club. Dale worked as a diesel mechanic for several years. In the mid 80's, he became a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Dale loved hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, and was a dog lover. In his younger days, he enjoyed snowmobiling. Dale also loved being outdoors and teaching his grandsons many of his famously funny life lessons and quotes. He spent lots of time at Mark Twain Lake. Dale was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Dale's name to Five Acres Animal Shelter; Paralyzed Veterans of America.
