Dale C. Nieman

Dale Christopher Nieman, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Patricia Nieman; cherished son of the late Harry and Marian Nieman. Devoted father of Christine (Doug) Bock and Jessica (John) Morris; loving grandfather of Ethan Bock and Addison Bock; dear brother of Dan (Colleen) Nieman, Tom (Mary) Nieman, Susan (the late Ron) Van Rees, Jim (Jackie) Nieman, Mary (the late Al) Bouman, and Bob (Lynna) Nieman; many nieces and nephews.

Dale proudly served in the United States Navy as an Officer during 1968-1971 in the Vietnam War and was a Probation and Parole Officer for 5 years during 1971-1976. Dale graduated high school in 1964 and was known as the Corpus Christi High School Basketball Superstar. He received a full ride basketball scholarship to St. Louis University and graduated in 1968. Dale worked in food manufacturing for Pillsbury and Nestle until retirement in 2002. Besides basketball, he also loved golf and even made 2 holes in one.

Dale was a spectacular father and grandfather, and an amazing provider for his family. He had a dry humor and was a man of few words. Dale was intelligent, levelheaded, and stoic. He was lovingly married to Pat for 55 wonderful years - married in 1968. Dale was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday September 16, 2023 at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church (7701 Town Square Avenue Dardenne Prairie, MO 63368). Visitation will be held from 11 am - 12 pm, Mass to follow. A luncheon will be provided at Immaculate Conception from 1 pm - 3 pm.
