Daniel Gerard Orf took his first steps on August 24, 2024 straight into the arms of Jesus. He is survived by his parents, Ted and Lisa (nee Kronauge) Orf; his brothers Bill (Hannah) Orf, Jim (Kelsey) Orf and Joseph; his grandmother, Lauretta Macdonald; his loving aunts and uncles, Cindy Kronauge (Dean Alison), Julia Conway, Roy Kronauge, Channing Kronauge, John (Terri) Orf, and Gregg Orf; his sweet nieces and nephews, Henry, Calvin, Lyla & Jolie Orf, J.R., Briar & Graham Orf; as well as loving cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roy C. Kronauge, step-grandfather, David Macdonald, and grandparents John (Bill) & Marge Orf (Toots & Senior).
Danny enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, but especially the Dixie Chicks and Alison Kraus. He liked to watch Cardinal baseball and Blues hockey and was excited to watch them win the Stanley Cup with his brother Joe. Danny had a special connection to his brother Joe as they did everything together.
Danny was born with a rare brain malformation that resulted in many challenges. Despite these challenges, Danny had the sweetest personality, and he defied the odds many times. He touched the lives of all those who knew him.
Danny was a graduate of the First Steps program, United Services Preschool and Boonslick State School. He most recently attended the Mahon Center where he will be greatly missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers and especially caregivers who came into his life and supported our family throughout his journey.
In Scriptures John 9:1-3 we read "As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him." Danny was a testament to the sanctity of life; all life is precious. Our prayer is that by his life, others are drawn to Christ's loving embrace.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to Birthright of St. Charles, Home Page - Birthright OR the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society-St. Louis for Danny's nephew, Calvin at Welcome to Team Calvin's Page.
