Darren "Kirby" Pilarski of O’Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 61 on Sunday, November 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ione Pilarski; and his sister-in-law, Karen Pilarski.
Darren is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Grace Pilarski; his children, Sarah (Cameron) McCarter and Benjamin (Amber) Lambert; his father, Norman Pilarski; his grandchildren, Aiden, Owen, Alison, Hunter, Gage, Morgan, and Bennett; his siblings, Scott (Sandy) Pilarski, Keith (Linda) Pilarski, Brian (the late Karen) Pilarski, and Glenn (Carol) Pilarski; and his cousins and many nieces and nephews.
First and foremost, Darren was always proud to be “Papa Kirby” and dearly loved his grandkids. He liked to spend his days tinkering in his garage, enjoying a Natty Light, and people knew that they couldn’t drive down Highway P without getting a friendly wave from Darren. The outdoors is where Darren felt at home and he always looked forward to going to the farm, riding ATVs, and hunting.
Darren was a beloved family man who ensured that nobody he loved went without and was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Above everything, he had a giving heart and always wanted everyone to get along, acting as a peacemaker whenever it was called for. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Darren’s name may be made to
Missouri Conservation.
