David E. “Dave” Hurley
March 25, 1948 — November 27, 2021
David E. “Dave” Hurley, of St. Paul, MO, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Donna J. Hurley; loving father of Angela (Tony) Beers and Vicki (Kevin) Leahy; devoted grandfather of Steven (Vanessa) Cain, Shawn (Samantha) Cain, Tyler (Tiffany) Filippi, Brittany Filippi, Alyssa Filippi, Shelby Collins and Kristen (Nate Burrows) Leahy and great-grandfather of Kora Cain, Brantley Cain and Kaylynn Cain; dear brother of Judy (Leroy) Jaco and Brenda Johnson; beloved uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend to many.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Lola Hurley, his daughter, Sheila Hurley, his brother, Danny Hurley and his great-grandson, Steven Cain III.
David was the owner of D & D Maintenance for many years, and most recently worked for Pet Doctor. He was a classic car enthusiast and owned several classic cars. He was a devoted member of SLICK Car Club and Backstoppers. He loved all animals. Caring for animals was one of his passions. Animals had a huge place in David’s heart and he rescued many of them throughout his life. His two dogs, Phyllis and Murphy and cat, Toula were very special to him. David was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in David's name to Humane Society.
