David L. Bucher, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Imogene Bucher; beloved son of the late Leon and the late Clara (nee Turner) Bucher; devoted father of Vickie (Russ) Chitwood, Connie Kemp, Karen (Jim) Maxwell, Susie (Victor) Rekosh; cherished grandfather of Jacob (Jill) Chitwood, David Kemp, Adam (Alicia) Chitwood, Brian Kemp, Sean Maxwell, Ritchie Maxwell, Jessica (Claire) Rekosh, Jennifer Rekosh, Steven (Kalyn) Kemp, Meghan Maxwell, Austin Rekosh, Belle Maxwell, and Faith Rekosh; treasured great-grandfather of 22; dear brother of the late Sonny Bucher, the late Corena Nation, Marie Polish, Ronnie Bucher, Wendy Robinson; dear uncle, and friend to many.
David proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked at Ford Motor Co. for over 30 years and retired in 1993. David had a strong work ethic and owned a Sinclair gas station in Overland, MO for a few years. He liked to work on cars. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing at the farm with his family. David loved to spend time at Lake Wappapello. In his younger years, he liked to travel around the country with his wife, Imogene. Family was very important to David and loved to spend time with them. David was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in David's name to the American Heart Association.
