David R. Bruer

David R. Bruer,  the supreme family man, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the age of 68, from esophageal cancer.  Affectionate husband of Betty Bruer (nee: Singleton) and  protective father of his girls, Cynthia (Doug) Herod and Sarah (Jarrod) Johnson.  "Family" was the last word from his mouth. He considered his grandchildren, Brianne A. Stevich, Alexis C. Stevich, Tristan David Ruby and Roxy Ann Marie Johnson, as his own children.  He strived to keep his sister, Mary Ann (Paul) Powell and  brothers Murray (Jan) Bruer, James (Teresa) Bruer close to him.  He loved his nieces and nephews and was proud to be the fun loving Uncle Dave.  Husband, Father, Grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew,  cousin, son, and friend, David was loved by all.  His hobbies were many, including sailing the sea, reading, history, traveling, trains, and most of all Christmas.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial Ceremony will be held on Sunday August 9, 2015 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Cindy's house in O'Fallon, Missouri.
