Deborah Smith

Deborah (Debbie) S. Smith (nee Constantine), of O Fallon, MO, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the age of 70 after a long and fulfilling life.

Debbie was born on July 26, 1954 in St. Louis to Jack and Betty Constantine. She was the youngest of three girls. Debbie enjoyed playing softball and tagging along with her older sisters, Linda and Candy. After high school, Debbie went on to nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). 

Debbie married Stephen Michael Holtschlag in March, 2002 and the two blended their families of three sons and three daughters. Debbie and Steve celebrated 22 years of marriage. 

Debbie enjoyed camping, spending time with family and having fun. She enjoyed listening to music and shopping.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Betty, and her sisters Linda and Candy. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Michael Holtschlag, children: Stacy (Brian) Trentman, Brian Smith, Sarah (Donald) Bilderback, Stephen (Heather) Holtschlag, Joel (Annie) Holtschlag and Stacie (Jason) Sauer, her 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Debbie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held at Baue Funeral Home – O’Fallon on December 28th at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Memorials may be made in Debbie's name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Five Acres Animal Shelter.
