Deborah Ann Wilke (nee Blechle), passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025 at the age of 62 after a 3 year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Herb Wilke and is survived by her two sons; Chad (Jean) Wilke of St. Paul, Brett (Miranda) Wilke of St. Paul, and four grandchildren; Graham & Laney Wilke, and Jack & Caleb Wilke. Debbie is survived by her brothers; Dan (Paula) Blechle and Jeff (Laura) Blechle, sister-in-law; Bonnie (Dan) O’Shea, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Herb, her sister Mary, her loving parents Don and Betty Blechle, father-in-law and mother-in-law Orville and Mary Wilke, and sister-in-law Cindy Brimager.
Debbie was born in St. Charles on September 23rd, 1962. She grew up in O’Fallon, MO and attended St. Dominic High School where she met the love of her life, Herb. The two were married on August 3rd, 1985 at St. Barnabas Church in O’Fallon. They bought their first home in St. Charles where they welcomed both of their sons. They later moved to Flint Hill to be closer to family. Debbie worked for Wentzville School District for 15+ years where she made many lifelong friendships; she loved spending time working sporting events for Liberty High School.
Debbie enjoyed reading, shopping with her sister and niece; Taylor, spending time with her grandchildren, watching Cardinals baseball, golf, and football with her boys. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader and was always on the sidelines cheering on her sons, niece, and nephews at all of their sporting events. Debbie cherished her time with her family; she especially loved vacationing to the beach and her annual Branson trip with her sons, their wives, and four grandchildren.
Debbie had the most infectious laugh and lit up every room she walked into. She always had a smile, a positive attitude, and put everyone’s needs before her own. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and those she loved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
