Debra “Debbie” Jo Ilges

Debra “Debbie” Jo Ilges (nee Ludwig), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the age of 60. Cherished wife of David S. Ilges; beloved daughter of the late Allen and Joan Ludwig; dear sister of Linda Hanes; stepmother of Becky (Owen) Gregory, Nikki Ilges, and Michael (Sadie Gerau) Ilges; treasured grandmother of Sophie Ilges and Ben Gregory; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles, extended family and friends. Debbie is also preceded in death by her sister, Susan Elam.

Debbie was a very gregarious woman. She was known to always light up the room. She could not leave the house without knowing someone she would run into along the way. Debbie had a way of making an impression on the lives of those around her.

Debbie’s beloved canine companion, Coco kept her busy. She also enjoyed reading, visiting state parks, and the Lake of the Ozarks. Debbie adored her husband and loved spending time with David as he fished.

Debbie was a devoted nurse and loved to share her knowledge. She helped with the development of EPIC Nursing program and helped teach how to use the program. Debbie was also part of the opening of Progress West Hospital and was pivotal in developing their policies and procedures. Debbie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
