Debra “Debbie” Ruth Bain, daughter of the late Carl and Bette Davis, was born on February 28, 1956 in Redwood, California and departed this life on June 14, 2021 in York, South Carolina. Loving wife of 43 years to Mike Bain; beloved daughter of the late Carl and Bette Davis; devoted mother of Andra (Jeffrey) Willis and the late Brandi Nicole Bain; cherished grandmother of Abigail Willis and Daniel Willis; dear sister of Steve Davis, the late Dianna Davis and the late Ron Davis.
Debbie attended School of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri where she met her husband of 43 years, Michael Bain. She later obtained her Master’s Degree at Lindenwood University.
Debbie always wanted to be a teacher, and her students experienced her love for teaching in her classroom where she shared a wealth of education and wisdom. Her career in education was spent entirely in Missouri where she taught high school and middle school English for 28 years. She began her teaching career in Summersville and then moved to St. James followed by Salem. During her tenure in Salem, Debbie gave birth to two daughters, Andra and Brandi. The family moved to Brunswick and then to Warrenton followed by Marshfield and finally St. Charles. She retired from the Fort Zumwalt School District in 2007.
Debbie and her husband raised their two daughters in Missouri. She then enjoyed spending her retirement years traveling the world with her husband and spoiling her grandchildren. They moved to South Carolina in 2014 to be near the kids and grandkids.
In her spare time, Debbie liked to read, listen to music, watch movies, conquer word puzzles, and explore the interests of her favorite celebrities. She enjoyed going out on the boat and tubing with her family. She always had so much fun and she filled her life with love and laughter.
Debbie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Debra's name to Donor's Choice.
