Dennis Alan Shine

Shine, Dennis Alan of Saint Charles, Missouri, died surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the age of 71. Loving husband of Sandi M. Shine; beloved son of the late Louis J. and Alice M. Shine; devoted father of Jennifer (Jeff) Middendorf and Karen Shine, father-in-law of Tommy Shine, and father of Kathy (Eric) Williams; cherished grandfather of Krystal, Taylor, Brandon, Logan, Ella, Ava, Will and Kate; treasured great-grandfather of Landry and Mason; dear brother of Joseph (Hankie) Shine and John Shine; and dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Navy.  He enjoyed golfing, traveling, going on cruises, boating, and playing cards with friends.  He loved going to Florida and visiting the beach, and his favorite places to travel were Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe.  He was also a collector of many things, among his favorites were watches, coins, and hats.  He loved sports and coached his daughter's soccer team.  He was a Junior Achievement advisor for more than 15 years.  He loved his dogs, and his beloved companion Maggie will miss him greatly.  Dennis truly cherished spending time with family, especially his grandbabies.  He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
