It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dennis Clarence Bange on August 16, 2024, at the age of 86. Dennis passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with loved ones by his side.
Dennis was born on July 30, 1938, at home in Port Hudson, Missouri to Edward and Marcella Bange (Pohlen), who he is now joined in heaven along with his siblings, Gregory Bange, Loretta Jurotich, Mary Ann Bange, and Paul Bange.
Dennis grew up in Elsberry, Missouri and later settled in O’Fallon, Missouri, where he and Elizabeth (Betty) raised their family.
Dennis loved to do the physical work and was known for always wanting to lend a helping hand, which was demonstrated by his many occupations in his lifetime, including farming, construction, and maintenance. Dennis also served our country through the US Navy aboard the USS Independence.
Dennis is best remembered through his crazy storytelling, his silly antics, and his endless love for his family and life as a whole. You could often find Dennis singing and dancing, bringing light and joy to every situation possible. His laugh was contagious, and his smile was unforgettable.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Jean (Scheve), as well as his two sisters, Beatrice Schmit and Louise Spresterbach. He is also survived by his four children, Rita (Shawn Witte), Dennis Bange, Cynthia (Lonnie Mueller), and Edward Bange.
