Dennis Louise “DD” Bellar (née Clesi), born October 8, 1934, in Beaumont, TX, died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, September 14, 2019 in St. Louis, MO. She was 84.
Beloved wife to her husband of 64 years, Willis F. “Will” Bellar, former President of Hazelwood Farms Bakeries and a VP of Wetterau, Inc. for two decades, DD was also a proud and amazing mother to her three children, Kirk, Kent and Jennie.
DD had a passion for Early Americana as a lifelong American Country antiques dealer and collector. She and her husband lovingly restored their historic stone farmhouse and were active in the local antiques community.
Earlier in life, DD was a member of the prestigious singing group Melody Maids, and an alumna of Texas Women’s University.
DD loved her dogs, Jack Russell Chipper, Morkie Lily, and Bichons Andy, Herman and Sammie, and was active with her Grace Baptist Church Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Louise Clesi; sister Jo’Ann Wilson, Brother-in-Law Bill Wilson, and son Kent Bellar. She is survived by her husband Will, son Kirk, daughter-in-law Lisa Marker, daughter Jennie, niece Julie Munro, nephew Joey Wilson, grandniece Lauren Munro, cousins Frances Bowman, Cecile Bendy Clausen, and Glenda Bendy Burres.
DD was beautiful, funny, smart and so kind. A friend to everyone, she will be missed by all who knew her.
