Dennis Kappauff (66)

It is with great sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of beloved husband to Shirley, father to sons Daron (Emily) and Douglas (Beth); grandfather to Aubrey and Michael;  brother to Patricia Rebello, Marijean Ulrich, Gerald (Mary), and Kevin; survived by many nieces and nephews; godfather to Parri Parrish, Jason Herbig, and Scott Ulrich.  He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Marie (Dawe). He was born in St. Louis and attended St. Thomas Aquinas HS.  He spent many years working for companies in their Import Export departments before starting his own business, Transport Coordinators, in 1990.
He was the Director and lead guitar player for the Liturgical music group, the Chris-Tones, since 1966 which started at St Martin de Porres in Hazelwood, MO and spent the last 35 years at Our Lady of Good Counsel, which changed it's name to Holy Name of Jesus.  He was the heart of the group which sang over a hundred weddings and sang at over 50 Catholic churches in St. Louis.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
