On April 4, 2020 Dennis Leroy Wall passed away peacefully with two Marines by his side. Born in St. Louis, MO on December 26, 1951, Dennis was the first-born child to Leroy Wall and Verta Mae (Thompson) Wall. He was also the first grandchild. He attended Riverview High School and went on to enlist in the Marine’s. In serving our country he was injured and received an honorable discharge. He continued to believe once a Marine; always a Marine. He later moved to Florida for a few years and then on to Oneida, TN where he’s called home for the past 15 years. Dennis is known to many in Oneida and one who volunteered every week to cook at the VFW Center. Dennis had no strangers; he was a friend to any and all he came into contact with.
Dennis is survived by his siblings, Danny (Diane) Wall, Twanna (Gary) Amos and Duane (Laura) Wall and six niece and nephews, Lance Gene Amos, Courtney Ann Munro, Danielle Suhling, Tonya Kay Amos, Jason Duane Wall and Jamie Nicole Johnstone. He was preceded in death by his mother, Verta Mae (Thompson) Wall and Leroy Wall. He will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at the family plot at Lake Charles Cemetery next to his mother and father.
