Dennis Mark Knott, went home to the Lord on May 1, 2019 in St. Louis, MO, surrounded by his loving family after complications from a long battle with cancer that recently escalated.
Beloved son of Thomas and Pamela Knott (nee Lehman), and Dennis and Leslie Robbins. Dearest brother of Erica Knott (Farmer), Thomas G. Knott, II, Jessica Knott (Becker), and Brian “B.” Knott (Sturdevant). Dearest grandson of William and Dorothy Branch and the late Sonny and Wanda Robbins, the late Austin “Buck” Knott, the late Mary Ellen Knott (nee Lawler), and the late Zelda Mae Knott. Loving uncle of Chloe and Roman Farmer, and Karlie, Tripp, Maelynn, and the late Ruby Knott. Dearest nephew, cousin, and friend to many.
Born on September 29, 1978. Dennis always excelled in academics. He graduated from Fort Zumwalt North High School. He then went on to earn a degree in Business and Management and Management Information Systems from St. Louis University. He worked for various companies and traveled extensively throughout his life. He most recently lived in Dallas, TX.
Dennis’s goal in life was to share love and compassion. He was loved by many across the country and will be deeply missed by everyone that crossed his path in life. Dennis never met a stranger and could not say no to someone in need of help.
Dennis loved anything to do with soccer and enjoyed running as well. He participated in marathons and loved running in fundraisers for others. His greatest love, besides his family, was soccer where he played, watched, and his favorite passion was coaching. A trait he excelled in and made positive effects on the lives of those he coached.
Dennis is now preparing the soccer field above for all of us who follow. May God Bless him and may he rest in peace. There will be a celebration of his life in the future, but only a private family service at the present. Any donations in his name should be to a charity of your choice or to the USA Youth Soccer Association. Thanks and God Bless the USA.
