Dollie Mae (Thompson) Robins Ornburn passed away on November 2nd, 2023, at the age of 95. She has 2 sons, Keith (Fern) Robins and Michael (Kristina) Robins, 2 stepsons, Ken (Hilda) Ornburn, and Tom Robins (deceased), and 1 stepdaughter, Peggy (Robins) Baker. She has 8 grandchildren, Scott (Hannah) Robins, Cory Robins, Jason Robins, Stefanie Robins, Josephine Robins, Christopher Robins, Natalia Ornburn and Camille Ornburn. She has 5 great-grandchildren, Alana Robins, Ethan Robins, Theodore Calsoncin, Caspian Robins, and Alicia Robins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tyrus Robins, and her second husband, Eldred Ornburn; her mother, Maybelle (Shepard) Thompson and father, Tom Thompson; her brothers Charles and Tom, and sisters Pauline and Audrey. She is also survived by nephews Butch (Donna) Thompson, T.R. (Phyllis) Thompson, and nieces Diane (Dwight) Wren, Joyce (Tom) Schueren, and Ruth Ann (Thompson) Snowden (deceased).
Dollie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a passion for cooking, and was an avid traveler. She was always up for playing a round of cards at the dinner table. She will be greatly missed.
Her jobs ranged from bookkeeper for Emerson Electric and Pepsi Cola, to her last job with First National Bank of St. Peters, beginning as a teller in 1964 and retiring as assistant vice president in 1983. She was a long time member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, now Cornerstone UMC. Dollie was also active member of the American Legion Post 388.
