Dolores L. Roberts
March 29, 1929 — September 11, 2021
Dolores Lorraine Roberts (nee Wojciak), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late William George Benjamin Roberts; cherished daughter of the late Bernard and Helen Wojciak; devoted mother of Karen (Ronald) Carr; loving grandmother of Patrick (Kimberly Bethke) Carr, Sean (Olivia) Carr and Brendan Carr; treasured great-grandmother of William Carr and Rosalie Carr; dear sister of Thomas (the late Barbara) Wojciak and the late James Wojciak; sister-in-law of Rose Marie Wojciak. Dolores is also survived by Kimberly’s son, Aiden, who called her Ms. D. Dolores will be remembered for her sweet but feisty nature. She was a truly independent gal who drove herself wherever she wanted to go, and she even renewed her driver’s license this past March. She loved baking and was a great cook. She cared for people, she never forgot a birthday or anniversary. Dolores was always there to bring soup to an ailing neighbor or brighten up their day with cookies or brownies. As a woman of faith, Dolores was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, and she attended every Sunday. She always looked forward to volunteering her time with the church for funeral luncheons, where she could help those in their time of need. Dolores enjoyed traveling with her husband, and they ventured as far west as the Dakotas and to the east as well. She and her husband loved to visit museums, which is what they often sought out to find. She was fond of animals and had many cats and birds throughout the years. Dolores was not a sports fan, but always looked forward to seeing the Clydesdales for the Cardinals Opening Day ceremony. More than anything, Dolores adored her grandchildren, she loved spending time with them and always had activities set up for them to enjoy. Dolores and William always made sure holidays were extra special for the grandkids, and they valued the fact that they lived long enough to see them all graduate from college. She always made sure there was ice cream for everyone to enjoy, and her favorite was raspberry chocolate chip. Dolores was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in Dolores's name to St. Vincent DePaul or Evelyn's House. Baue Funeral Homes is currently following CDC recommendations regarding mask and social distancing policies.
