Dominic James Newton

July 10, 2008 — January 23, 2025

O'Fallon, Missouri

Dominic James Newton, a beautiful soul known for capturing hearts with his adoring look, his beautiful brown eyes, snuggles, and hand-holding, was promoted to an angel on January 23, 2025. He was an inspiring boy who touched the hearts of all who knew him with his love and unwavering resilience. Dominic peacefully transitioned, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on July 10, 2008, Dominic faced countless challenges and medical hurdles from an early age, undergoing treatments and surgeries that tested his strength and bravery. He continued to amaze medical professionals, leaving them in awe of the history he created. Despite these battles, he lived life on his own terms, writing his own story.

Dominic was not only a fighter, but also a loving son and an adored big brother. He is survived by his devoted parents, Hilary Schneider and Matt Newton, who were honored and proud to be his parents and advocates. Dominic cherished being a big brother, and the bond he shared with his little sister, Charlie, was truly unbreakable. Their connection was remarkable, filled with love and joy. Dominic also had a deep love for all animals and will be greatly missed by his furry sisters, Gracie and Kira.

Dominic was the cherished grandson of Kim Schneider, Jim (Tracy Jenkins) Schneider, and Chuck and Debbie Newton. He was a treasured nephew to Adam (Brittany) Schneider, Meghan (Jason Nufio) Newton, and Hannah Schneider. He was also a dear cousin to Noah, Susan, and Reid Schneider.

Always wearing a warm smile, Dominic was kindhearted and loved by his family and friends. There wasn’t a book or song he didn’t enjoy. He had a special fondness for all things Disney, especially Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He enjoyed cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. Dominic loved all holidays, his favorite being Christmas. Most of all, he adored quality time spent snuggling and holding hands.

Dominic was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dominic’s name to the St. Louis Variety Club, supporting children and families who have faced similar challenges.

As we come together to honor Dominic’s memory, we find peace knowing he is free. Surrounded by love and memories of his family, Dominic’s spirit will continue to guide us as we carry on in his honor.

Dominic will live in our hearts forever.
