Donald A. “Don” Lange

December 21, 1932 — January 22, 2018

Donald A. Lange, has gone to God January 22, 2018, after valiantly fighting cancer. He was such a good man who lived a beautiful life, loving and caring for his family. His love of God and his moral goodness held him well as he and DeLane, his wife of 50 years, endeavored to nurture and educate their five children, Kimberly (Dave)  King, Mike (the late Cindy) Mansfield, Virginia (John) Spies, Andrew (Mike) Lange, Kriss (Momoko) Lange; their grandchildren Amy (Tony) Lounsbery, Tiffany (Chad) Waisner, Lindsay (Casey) Matthews, Emily (Jeff- Fiance) Brewer, Kyle Spies, Sky Spies, Yuuma Lange, Touma Lange; and their great-grandchildren Olivia Lounsbery, Jackson Lounsbery, London Waisner, SuttonWaisner, Kaylee Matthews, and Owen Matthews.

Don was born in 1932 to Selma and Alvin Lange, and grew up in Concordia, Missouri. He had six brothers and one sister, the late Bill (Ellen) Lange, Jim (Grace) Lange, the late Bob (Nancy) Lange, the late Harold (Janet) Lange, Joan (the late Caroll) Hiltner, the late John (Jan) Lange, and Alvin (Sylvia) Lange. He dearly loved his many nieces and nephews, godchildren, and their extended families.

Don graduated with a degree in Business from Mizzou in 1956, and he proudly served in the US Army as a 1st Lieutenant. In 1966, Don and DeLane were married and filled the next 50 years with lots of fun, travel, and great times. After moving to St. Louis, Don attended UMSL where he completed his Master’s in Education. He became a guidance counselor at North County Technical School, and Florissant Valley Community College. He truly enjoyed working in education.
