Donald D. Salzwedel

Donald D. Salzwedel, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the age of 87. Cherished son of the late Herman and Rosa Salzwedel; devoted father of Kelley (Jim) Salzwedel, Daniel Salzwedel, and the late Karen Barton and Mark Salzwedel; loving grandfather of Brad Walker and Mary Claire Salzwedel; dear brother of the Glenn Salzwedel, and the late Lester, Joseph, Robert, Marvin, John, and Leland Salzwedel, Stella Todd, Lola Lienemann, and Ethel Parker. Donald is also survived by a great-grandson, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Donald proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. He then went on to work for Laclede Gas Company, which he eventually retired from after many years of service. He liked to listen to Bluegrass music, talk to others and tell jokes, and he loved to make people laugh. Donald was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made in Donald’s honor to the American Diabetes Association.
