Donald David O’Brien

Donald David O'Brien of O’Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 85 on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Rose O’Brien; and his siblings, Jane Boxdorfer, Pat Wederbrook, and Eugene "Boots" O'Brien.

Donald is survived by his wife, Susan Lynne O'Brien; his children, Dennis O'Brien, Daniel (Laura) O'Brien, Laura (Bill) Plumlee, and Matt Knight; his grandchildren, Shauna Walker, Kelly O'Brien, Tim O'Brien, Jennifer O'Brien, Megan O'Brien, Brittany Whitworth, Emily Hammond, Taylor Knight, Alex Knight; and his great-grandchildren, Aiden Walker, Desi Whitworth, and Cameron Whitworth.

He began his professional career with Chas. Todd Uniform. Donald started as a route driver and was promoted to District Manager for several years and later to Plant Manager in Highland, Illinois. His last position with them was Vice President Regional Management and he was responsible for nine plants. Donald was a huge Disney fan and a lifelong golfer. As a young man, he had a boat and enjoyed cruising the lake.
