Donald Gade

Donald Eugene Gade, of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 61 years to Marion Gade; cherished son of the late Ernst and Alma Gade; devoted father of Diane Gade, Nancy Gade and the late Richard Gade; dear brother of Elvera Eckert, Alice Reinders, the late Leonard Gade, the late Armin Gade, the late Hulda Comfort, and the late Elaine Prochaska; Donald is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donald was an elementary school teacher for over forty years, he taught primarily eighth grade. He loved his students and kept in touch with them throughout the years. Donald was also a Deacon at Lutheran Church in West Ely, Missouri and assisted the pastor. Donald drove cars for a dealership in Hannibal, which he loved and made many friends. He loved fishing and hunting (quail and pheasant). Donald had a love for nature. He took pride in his garden and took care in feeding the birds and squirrels. He also enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and St. Louis Cardinals. Donald loved life and had a great sense of humor. Donald was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
