Donald Joe Crader

Donald Joe Crader of Glen Carbon, IL, passed Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of 49 years to the recently departed Sharon Maxine Crader; cherished son of the late Milton E. and Clarine Crader; devoted father of Donna (Ron) Korte and Dorothy (Tui) Suwanpratest; loving grandfather of Audrey (Jordon) Northrop-Philips, Jake Pieper, Brandon Suwanpratest, and Daniel Suwanpratest; and dear brother of Billy Crader, Dorothy (the late Jerry) Eldracher, Doris (Joe) Walton, Roy Crader, John "Dusty" Crader, Pamela (Michael) Lane, Jeff (Penny) Crader, and the late Jimmy Crader

Donald proudly served in the United States Army before returning home to dedicate more than 32 years as a mechanic for General Motors. He was a member of the Wentzville MO Masonic Lodge, UAW, and attended various United Methodist Churches, most recently Metro Community Church of Edwardsville, IL. He loved making memories with his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening and fishing in his spare moments. As a young man he particularly enjoyed coon hunting. Donald was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association in Donald’s honor.
