Donald C. Rogenhofer of Florissant, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2020 at the age of 63. Donald was born on August 10, 1956 in Jennings, Missouri.
Don graduated from Jennings High School in 1974. He then received a Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri Western State University and a Master’s Degree from Colorado State University. He was a part of the Griffins 1975 undefeated football team that won the Spa Bowl. He and his teammates were all inducted into Missouri Western State University's Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
Don taught science, health and physical education at Riverview Gardens High School in North County for 27 years. He served as Riverview's Athletic Director for several years and coached multiple sports teams. Don retired from full time teaching in 2011, but continued to coach tennis and baseball, as well as substitute teaching and worked in Riverview's library until his passing.
Don was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and boating. Every year he looked forward to his annual fishing trip to the Lake of the Ozarks.
Don is survived by two sons, Christopher Rogenhofer and Daniel Rogenhofer; his sister, Patricia (Dave) McMillen; and brother-in-law, Mike Tremmel. He was an uncle to six nieces and nephews, and a dear friend to many. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Lena Rogenhofer, a sister Susan Tremmel, and brothers, Charles Rogenhofer and Michael Rogenhofer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don's name to the
Missouri Department of Conservation.
