Donald “Don” Lee Sikes, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of 68 years to Marie Sikes; cherished son of the late Elva Lee and Opal Izella Sikes; devoted father of Cathy (John) Elsea and David (Laura "Bunny") Sikes; loving grandfather of Ronnie (Shelly) Anderson, Tina (Jonathan) Wagner, Amy Sikes, and Jacob (Celeste) Sikes; treasured great-grandfather of Bailey (Jade) Wildman, Dusty (Sydney) Wildman, Chasen (Kirston) Anderson, Dylan (Cassidy) Wildman, Camren Anderson, Landon Wood, Bradley Wagner, Kale Sikes, and Graeme Sikes; great great grandfather of Willow Marie Wildman; dear brother of Jim Sikes. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Sikes, Fred Sikes, and sisters, Leola Sikes, Joyce James, and Mary Ann Jordan.
Don proudly served in the United States Navy and was a member of VFW Post 4219. He dedicated over 60 years as a member of the Union Local 837. In his free time, Don enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors. Over the years, Don and Marie created many memories on their visits to all 50 states, camping and spending time with family. Don was a dedicated father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather who instilled his passion for the outdoors to his family who he cherished the most. Don was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
