Donald W. Ohmes

December 5, 1957 — February 26, 2025

Warrenton, Missouri

Donald William Ohmes, of Warrenton, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the age of 67. Born December 5, 1957 to the late Christopher and Marie Ohmes, Don was the youngest of his siblings. Don was a hard working man who was very proud of his work as a heavy equipment operator with the IUOE 513. He was a devoted father and grandfather, beloved brother and cousin and fun loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He loved his family dearly and was always willing to help out a friend or family member in need. He enjoyed spending time with all of his friends and family but especially enjoyed the time he got to spend with his son Dylan and grandson Will.

He was a “tinkerer” who always had a project to work on. He worked on motorcycles, cars, tractors, and trucks but the thing he loved tinkering on the most was “The Farm Hand”, a mud truck he built with his son.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Marie Ohmes, and his sisters, Darlene (Bob) Thomas and Ruth (Harry) Harvey.

He is survived by his son Dylan (Nicole) Ohmes, grandson William Ohmes, brother Richard (Rita) Ohmes, sister Patricia (Erwin) Blasko, step-children Rhiannon (Jesse) Critten and Wayland Martin, close friend Rhonda, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Don had a rebellious spirit and lived life in his own way, leaving many memories behind with anyone who knew him. In remembrance of his life, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 8th from 2-6pm at the VFW Hall in Wentzville, MO. All family and friends are welcome to stop by and share the many memories of Don they have.
