Donald R. King

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Amvets. Donald R. King of Petersburg, TN, died on Saturday, May 16 after fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer. Husband of Sandy; father of Jeff (Susan) King and Lisa Schempfe; stepfather to Angie Cox; grandfather of seven and great grandfather of one, uncle, brother-in-law and friend of many. Don is survived by his mother, Florence King, brothers Gary (Kathleen) King, Kevin (Rosie) King, sisters Deanna Fricke, Kathy (David) Waterman, Marla McIntruff and preceded in death by brother James (Gail) King and father Raymond King. Don was a veteran of the USMC having served for 23 years including a tour in Vietnam.
