Donald R. Plue of Florissant, MO, passed away at the age of 82 on Saturday, March 30, 2019. He was born on February 25, 1937 in Bloomington, Illinois to the late Frank James and Grace Plue.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Plue; children, Jason Plue, Tricia Reimer, and Dawn Lilley; grandchildren, Evan Plue, Hailey Plue, Kendra Plue, and Nina Reimer; and great-grandchildren, Jayden and Wyatt.
Don was united in marriage with the love of his life, Donna, on December 16, 1979. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps and later opened his own construction business, building many McDonald’s across the country.
Don never met a golf course he couldn't conquer or a beach he didn’t love. He took almost yearly trips to Maui with his wife and many other trips around the world with his family, almost always finding his way to the sand and water. Don could often be found outdoors, tending to his lawn and vegetable garden, or planting flowers for his wife, Donna. Above all, Don was a devoted husband, dad, and papa. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him.
Memorial contributions in Don’s name can be made to the
American Heart Association or the
Alzheimer’s Association.
