Donald John Rohlfing Sr.

Donald John Rohlfing Sr., of Lake Saint Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Sherie Ann Rohlfing (nee Cox); cherished son of the late Adie and Louise Rohlfing. Devoted father of Donald (Lisa) Rohlfing, Jr., Ron Rohlfing, Vicki (Larry) Cobb, Lottie Reading, Joan (Dennis) Lumpkins, Dave (Linda) Rohlfing, Amy (Chad) Roberts, Mike (Tricia) Rohlfing; stepfather of Shelly Reed, Tami (Gary) Syers, Lori Pope, Denis (Theresa) Reed; loving grandfather of 41; treasured great-grandfather of 69; great-great-grandfather of 6. Preceded in death by his late wife, Charlotte Rohlfing (nee Lauer); stepson, Chuck Reed; and sister, Della Bernard. 

Don dedicated over 25 years as the Director of Public Works for the City of Frontenac. After retirement, Don traveled often, always looking forward to the next trip. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for hunting and fishing. Don also enjoyed playing cards and loved bowling. He was a part of several bowling leagues and spent a lot of time at O’Fallon Bowl. Don was a devout catholic and a parishioner in Immaculate Conception of Dardenne. Don was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
