Donna Carter

Donna Carter, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the age of 69. Devoted daughter of Gladys L. and the late Donald Carter; loving mother of Heather (Dustin) Thiele; cherished Nana of Sophia Thiele; dear sister of Barb Carter and the late Pat Carter; dear aunt of Lisa (Gustavo) Barrera, and great-aunt of Alexandra Baker. 

Donna had a passion for taking care of people, and she worked in the healthcare field for more than 30 years. She loved spending time with her family more than anything, especially her granddaughter, Sophia. Her world pretty much revolved around Sophia, and they enjoyed doing everything together, from painting to puzzles and anything outdoors. Donna always looked forward to the holidays and putting up her decorations, especially the inflatables. 

To say Donna loved animals was an understatement. She had an affection for all animals, but especially stray dogs, which she had at least 18 dogs throughout her life. She also delighted in feeding the stray cats every day, and any other animal that came along. She would buy seed weekly to feed the birds in her backyard, and the feeder attracted the most beautiful birds.  

Donna truly enjoyed the outdoors and spending time in nature. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her sunflowers. In her younger years, she dabbled in woodworking and made lawn ornaments for the holidays. She enjoyed watching HGTV to catch up on the latest home decorating ideas. And, she was obsessed with Pokémon, which she made sure to do her Poke stops every day, even when she was in the hospital.
