Donna J. Cowan (nee Chapman), of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the age of 74. Loving wife of 55 years to Phillip L. Cowan; beloved daughter of the late Huston H. and June E. Chapman; devoted mother of Carl W. Cowan and Daun Ann (Jonathan) Korty; cherished grandmother of Mariya James (fiancé Berry Twork), Angela M. James, Heather L. James, Michelle C. Cowan, and Michell Kreske (fiancé Jeffrey Culbertson); treasured great-grandmother of Ethan Kreske; dear niece of Clark (Pat) Chapman; and dearest cousin of Dana (David) Pollard and Annette (Stan) Wesolowski.
Donna loved all things sewing, and she retired after almost 15 years in sales with Winston Sewing. With her husband serving in the U.S. Navy, she became an associate member for the United States Submarine Veterans, Inc. She was very creative, and besides sewing, enjoyed quilting and embroidering. She was an avid reader and could be found most days absorbed in a good romance novel or science fiction story. Donna was obsessed with cooking, and had just about every gadget and cookware set Pampered Chef had available. She also looked forward to watching the Food Network and other cooking shows to find an exciting recipe to try for her family. She also enjoyed making various types of jewelry for her family, which she supplied everyone with embroidered earrings for just about every holiday. Donna was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be made in Donna’s honor to the
