Donna L. Nack

Donna L. Nack Ed.D (Linnenbringer), of St. Charles, Missouri passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at the age of 78. Donna is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Daniel Nack and her parents Harrison and Doris Linnenbringer. She was the devoted mother of Deborah “Debbie” Nack, loving grandmother of Grace and Ava Civey, dear sister of Gerald (Mary) Linnenbringer and Kathy Poelker, loving sister-in-law of Joyce (Bruce) Brown and Robert “Bob” (Christine) Nack, loving aunt to Gerald (Katy) Linnenbringer, Michael Brown, Kevin (Jennifer) Brown, Tony Brown, Robert “Bobby” (Michelle) Nack, Julie (David) Fouts, and the late Charles Linnenbringer. Donna was also a dear cousin, great aunt, and friend to many. Dr. Donna Nack, Ed.D was a lifelong educator. She not only loved to teach but loved to learn. She graduated with her B.A. in Education from Harris Teachers College, St. Louis, MO in 1964. She went on to earn her M.A. in Education Administrative in 1981 from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University), as well as a Specialist in Education Degree in 1985 from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University). In 2007, Donna earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, MO. With over 45 years in education mainly in the St. Charles School District, Dr. Nack taught grades 4 and 5 in Washington Elementary in Mehlville, Garrett Elementary in Hazelwood and Harris Elementary in the St. Charles School District. From 1980-1985, she taught the P.I.T.T.S. (Program for the Intellectually talented students), aka the gifted program, which she absolutely loved. Following her career in the classroom, she became the principal of Benton Elementary School for ten years, then Blackhurst Elementary School until she retired from the district. In 2004, she joined the education faculty full time as an assistant professor in the Education Division of Lindenwood University until retiring in 2013. Donna was active in numerous educational committees and organizations throughout her extensive career. She was a member of Delta Zeta, as well as Beta Sigma Phi sororities. She was grounded in her faith and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Charles. She enjoyed her family, especially her two beloved granddaughters, Grace and Ava. Donna will be missed by the community, her sorority sisters, family, friends, former students and teachers, and her loving companion of the last six years, Joe Pallardy.
