She worked at Krey packing company and helped to raise her nieces and nephews after her sister passed away at a young age.
She married Paul A. Jansen in 1954 and was married 70 years before her passing. Doris was a homemaker and raised 10 children with wisdom, patience, humility, laughter, a lot of prayers and a few tears. She was always quiet, supportive and encouraging as a wife and mother. Doris worked numerous part-time jobs Hallmark, Family owned cleaners, Candy store and even TSA agent at the airport. Throughout her life, she and Paul welcomed many relatives into their home with open arms during their time of need. She was very generous with her time and talents. She volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul food pantry for many years. She was gentle and kind with everyone she met. She had a strong Catholic faith and devotion to Our Blessed Mother. She was a very strong supporter of Pro-Life, attending the pro-life march every January for about 35 years. She was a prayer warrior and the rock of our family. Her love and support is what held us together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
