Doris Mae McGhee

Doris McGhee (nee Blanton), of Hazelwood, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" McGhee; cherished daughter of the late Raymond Thomas Blanton and the late Edith M. Jones; loving stepdaughter of the late Katherine Blanton; devoted mother of Michael (Lori) McGhee and Michelle (David) Tripp; proud grandmother of Doug Ratcliff, the late John Ratcliff, Katie Tarrants, Seth Tripp, Lauren Ratcliff, Lindy McGhee, Nate Tripp, and Elijah Tripp; treasured great-grandmother of Jace Rebec, Hayden Tripp, Connor Tarrants, Adalynn Tripp, Braden Tripp, and Rhett Tarrants; and dear sister of John (Sharen) Blanton and Krenseta Blanton. Doris is also survived by her beloved Calico, Patches. She was also preceded in death by her beloved cats, Rascal, Scamp, and Shadow.

Doris cherished the precious time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Overland Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon. In earlier years she was involved with the church nursery. She also enjoyed crafting and especially making cards, had a love for cats and enjoyed caring of her feline companions, and a past member of the Red Hat Society. Doris was a dear friend and neighbor. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
