Doris Jean Mueller

Doris Jean Mueller (nee Unnerstall) passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Clement “Clem” Mueller; loving mother of Ed (Debbie), Sheri Makasini, Michelle Humphreys (Jeffrey), and Matt (Amy); amazing grandmother of Karisa, Michael (Sammie), Corey (Emily), Justin, Joshua, Jared, Lilly, Michelle, Matt (Kala), and Melissa (Dylan); great grandmother “GiGi” of Tatum, Tessa, Lilly, Lainey, Parker, Cammie, EJ, Lena, Ada, Sophia, and Isabella; cherished sister of Marlene Mueller (Dick), Geraldine Adams (Tim), MaryAnn Josar (the late Jack), Barbara Lawrence, and the late Bob Unnerstall; loyal sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Doris cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whether it was a summer visit to the Lake of the Ozarks, a spring break trip to Florida, a Christmas or Holiday gathering, or simply time spent together in her apartment, the visit was sure to be filled with food, laughter, and the St. Louis Cardinals. She loved playing bingo, listening to music, and visiting the casino. Doris had an enthusiastic sense of humor and had an unbelievable memory. She was fun and caring. Doris was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be missed by everyone.

Doris chose to donate her body to science, and those wishes were fulfilled by St. Louis University. Services: Memorial Mass 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21st at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Dardenne).
