Dorothy Ksiazkiewicz

Dorothy Ann Ksiazkiewicz (nee: Slomian) of Oakwood, IL, formerly of Oglesby, IL,  died on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Edward R. Ksiazkiewicz; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Sally Slomian; devoted mother of Linda (Raymond) Maciejewski of Lake Saint Louis, MO and David (Inna) Ksiazkiewicz of Marseilles, IL; dear sister of the late Ladislaus 'James' and Edmund Slomian; loving grandmother of Dan (Alexandra Schlereth) Graves of Wheat Ridge, CO.
Dorothy was the head nurse of the obstetrics department at Illinois Valley Community Hospital and also instructed prenatal classes for many years. She loved gardening, was a member of the Master Gardeners, and a volunteer at the Vermilion County Extension Service. She also helped coordinate greenhouse activities at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, IL. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and participated in Faith in Action.
