Dorothy C. Lewandowski

Lewandowski, Dorothy C., of Saint Charles, MO, was fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at the age of 98. She was the loving wife of the late Bernard Lewandowski, Jr.; beloved daughter of the late Leo and Clara Rechert; devoted mother of Bernard Lewandowski, III; loving sister of the late Lawrence (Doris) Rechert; dear sister-in-law of the late Edward (Helen) Lewandowski, the late Theodore (Mary Jane) Lewandowski, and the late Theresa (Walter) Reeves; and treasured aunt of the late Lawrence (Judy) Rechert, Jr., Ronald Rechert, Edward (Kay) Lewandowski, Robert (Mary Cay) Lewandowski, Christine (Dan) Bauer, Janet Whitehead, Kate (Mike) LeVan, Diane (Chris) Erb, and Carol (Mike) Holmes. Dorothy is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.




Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence (Doris) Rechert.




Dorothy was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church since 1984; was active in the Social Concerns Committee at the church; and a charter member of the Historical Society of St. Louis County. She was an excellent cook, who enjoyed watching sports (especially St. Louis teams), ice skating, and spending time with her family and friends. Dorothy was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
