Dorothy "Cookie" McGee

Dorothy “Cookie” McGee (nee Clayton), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late William G. McGee; cherished daughter of the late Elmer Lindsay and Hilda H. Clayton. Devoted mother of Richard McGee, Dianna (James) Johnson, Patricia (the late Ronald) Moore, Bobbie (Brett) Mitchell, and Brian McGee; loving grandmother of 16; treasured great grandmother of 15; dear sister of Fran Kruse and William Clayton 

Dorothy enjoyed doing arts and crafts including sewing and crocheting. She loved entertaining and hosting events for her large family. Taking care of her family was very important to her. She was an amazing baker, and her specialty was her famous apple pie that everyone loved. Dorothy also enjoyed the fellowship of friends; she would invite them to her home for poker tournaments. Dorothy and her husband William enjoyed traveling together later in life. Dorothy was also a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family more than anything. Dorothy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Dorothy's name to Alzheimer's Association.
