Dorothy “Corky” Merkel

Dorothy “Corky” Merkel of Florissant, MO, passed away at the age of 90 on Saturday, October 31, 2020. She was preceded in death by her children, Ricky Merkel and Linda Holland; her parents, Joe and Linnie Stein; and her siblings, Richard Stein, Helen Wildhaber, Joseph Stein, Norma Hengen, Margaret Ems, William Stein.

Corky is survived by her children, Barbara (the late Michael) Luther and Danny (Flo) Merkel; her grandchildren, Michelle Frazer Ball, Anthony (Tricia) Merkel, Stacy Reed, and Jason Merkel; and her great-grandchildren, Bruce Ball Jr., Ann-Marie Ball, Chimara Merkel, DJ Reed, Jason Reed, Anastasia Reed, and Hunter Lucas.

Corky enjoyed starting up crafting projects and was a talented sewer who created many wonderful things over the years. Whenever she could, Corky liked to visit her favorite stores to do a little shopping and was always on the lookout for a great deal. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
