She was a business and typing teacher, planner, organizer, administrative assistant. While her husband, Kenneth, was exploring ways to get a man on the moon, she was concerned with down to earth matters and keeping the home running seamlessly. She was an extremely hard worker and even when she worked full time she did all of the household chores. She was very fast at typing and shorthand.
Dot had a generous, hospitable spirit and everyone who came to her home was going to be fed until they were stuffed. She was an avid reader who liked to sit down and enjoy a great book. Dot was fond of dancing and started with clogging – later, she and Kenneth got into competitive ballroom dancing. Following their retirement, they participated in challenge square dancing all over the US. She held memberships with Plaza Ballroom Dance Club and St. Louis Challenge Square Dance Club. She loved sports, especially college basketball. Dot lovingly cared for her special needs daughter until her health prevented it when she was 86 years old. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
