Dorothy E. Kish, formerly Saxon (nee Spisak) of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018, at the age of 95. Loving wife of the late Joseph A Saxon and Joseph “Bob” Kish; beloved daughter of John M. and Roselee Spisak; devoted mother of Joseph (the late Kathleen - nee Nagy) Saxon, Michael (Debbie) Saxon, Karen Saxon, Dale (Jane) Saxon, John Saxon, Paul (Angela) Saxon, and Stephen Saxon; cherished grandmother of Michelle Saxon, Joseph M. (Amy) Saxon, Christian B. (Eve) Saxon, Michael (Marie) Saxon, Joseph E. Saxon, John M. Saxon, Nicolas (Kelly) Weiry, Chase Saxon, Ella Saxon, Katherine Saxon, and Rachel Saxon; treasured great-grandmother of Miles, Maeve, Abigail, Ashley, Ava, Anna, and Nicholas. She is preceded in death by her brother, Rudolph Spisak; sister, Eleanor Spisak; niece, and Patricia (Jack) Burke.
Dorothy was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. As a young woman she was active in the Lions Club with her husband who was governor of the Ohio region. Dorothy was the daughter of Hungarian immigrants and grew up in Cleveland, OH. She resided for a period of time in Niles, OH, where she taught ceramics and arts and crafts from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and from her home. She loved to paint and especially enjoyed making hand-made holiday and birthday cards, which her family and friends cherished. Dorothy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
