Dorothy Ellen “Dottie” Westerman

Westerman, Dorothy Ellen “Dottie” (nee: Sheriff) of Saint Charles, MO, died Sunday, April 17, 2016, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Eugene E. Westerman; cherished daughter of the late David and Mabel Sheriff (nee: Downing); devoted mother of Sue (Mike) Hamilton, Peggy Rainey, Kim Westerman, Vicki (Gary) Potter, and the late Carole Jean Westerman ; loving grandmother of Kelly (Galen) Horton, Holly (Brad) Karleskint, Christopher (Jennifer) Potter, Sean Hamilton, Jason Potter, and Aaron Potter; treasured great-grandmother of Tanner Horton, Riley Horton, Elijah Horton, Zachary Karleskint, Maxwell Karleskint, Ethan Potter, and Charlotte Potter; dear sister of John (Julie) Sheriff. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Billie, Bonnie, Olivia, Winnie, Maude, Eunice, Margie, and David.

Dottie worked at Goldie’s Department Store, and was a volunteer librarian at Duchesne High School for over 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, and needle point. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
