Dorothy Lee “Dottie” Kiehl (nee Dorothy Lee King), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Robert R. Kiehl; cherished daughter of the late Paul Charles and Myrtle King. Devoted mother of Eric (Deni) Kiehl and Lisa (Kenneth) Wattler; loving grandmother of Jessie (Brent) Sutter; special aunt of the late Duronda, Robert (Cherry) Grimshaw, Gary Wayne (Debbie) Grimshaw, Terri (John) Bolyard, Zachary Ross, Gregory (Tammy) Ross, and Stewart (Michelle) Ross; treasured great grandmother of Mackenzie Sutter and Cameron Sutter; loving stepmother of Krystal Wilson; loving step-grandmother of Chad (Dawn) Wattler, Bronwyn (Mark) Ginty, Joshua (Kathy) Uelhof, and Nathan (Kati) Uelhof; treasured step great-grandmother of Spencer Ginty, Maeve Ginty, Skye Wattler, Alex Uelhof, Sammi Uelhof, Matthew Uelhof, and Kacie Uelhof; dear sister of the late Laura, the late Paulie, and the late Connie.
Dottie enjoyed working in the yard, putting puzzles together, throwing darts, and was a great artist as well. Dorothy worked for Hazelwood Central High School for 28 years as a teachers aide. She loved her students and colleagues. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Dottie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
