Dorothy M. Merlotti

Merlotti, Dorothy May (nee: Stoehner) of O Fallon, Missouri, Sunday April 29, 2018, at  the age of 85.

Cherished daughter of Leo and Ida May Stoehner; devoted mother of Dennis K. (Chris) Merlotti; dear sister of Shirley Leistner, Margarie Elmore, and Joyce Brooks. Loving aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many. Preceded in death by her son David S. Merlotti, her sister Barbara Day and her brothers-in-law Fritz Leistner and Kenneth Brooks.

Dorothy worked for Southwestern Bell of St. Charles, Missouri for 19 years, McDonnell Douglas for 20 years in St. Louis, Missouri and several part-time positions after retirement. She enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, embroidering patches for quilts for the Veterans, crocheting items for Children’s Hospital, and she enjoyed reading in her spare time. She loved caring for others as much as she could. Dorothy made lifelong friends everywhere she went. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
