Dorothy Mae “Dottie” Flora
January 2, 1923 — November 24, 2020
Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Flora of Saint Peters, MO, passed away at the age of 97 on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Flora; her parents, John Whiteley and Myrtle Ernst; and her brothers, John and Robert Whiteley.
Dottie is survived by her daughters, Sharon Flora and Deborah (Christopher) Meyer; her grandson, Christopher “CJ” Meyer; and her many nieces and nephews.
Dottie was a devoted Catholic who loved going to mass and being among her church community at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. In 1947, she married her best friend, Fred, and they shared many beautiful years together before his passing in 2001. Dottie was proud of her Irish heritage and had a special place in her heart for dogs and, in her younger years, for dancing. Her grandson CJ was a great joy in her life and she loved and adored him. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
