Dorothy Mintert
January 7, 1932 — February 26, 2022
Dorothy Ann Mintert (nee Timmermeier), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the age of 90. Loving wife of Joseph Mintert; beloved daughter of the late August Russell and Cora Myrtle Timmermeier; devoted mother of Cynthia (Gregory) Vickrey; cherished grandmother of Nichole Ann (Jeremy Dearing) Dearing. Dorothy is also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Keene, Ruth Malson, Elizabeth Swarts, Virginia Laramie.
Dorothy participated in Immaculate Conception Parish in West Alton, Missouri. Her favorite was running the Grand Raffle at the summer picnic. Dorothy worked as the bookkeeper for her husband's and brother-is-law's farm. She was a talented seamstress and made cloths for her daughter and granddaughter. She was a very good cook and loved to cook for her family. She loved reading and was especially fond of books about Ireland. She missed her sisters who preceded her in death. Her major job was being a farm wife. Dorothy and Joseph were married for 72 loving years. She enjoyed traveling after retirement and boating on the Mississippi River. Dorothy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
