Douglas Kolb

February 26, 1933 — September 14, 2023

Douglas Robert Kolb, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Donna Kolb; cherished son of the late Rudy and Helen Kolb. Devoted father of Kelly (Andy) Quinones; loving grandfather of Drew (Taylor) Quinones, Jenna Quinones, and Michael Kolb; treasured great-grandfather of Parker Quinones. Preceded in death by son, Douglas Kolb and sister, Patricia Alexander.

Douglas proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a firefighter most of his life serving with St. Louis City Fire Department and later at MacDonnell-Douglas for over thirty years. Douglas was a sports fanatic; he played football and baseball in high school and while serving in the Army. He loved playing guitar, playing chess online and off. Douglas was meticulous about his yard and took great pride in it. His greatest joy and reason for living the past years was his grandchildren. He lived his life through them. Douglas was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
