Duane A. Gessell was born to Joyce Gesell and the late William G. Gessell in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is survived by four children: Kathy Franklin of O'Fallon, Missouri, Duane Gesell III (Ashely) and Damon Gesell of St. Charles, Missouri, Brandon Gesell of O'Fallon, Missouri; a sister, Linda J. Thomas (Rick) of Knoxville, Tennessee; five grandchildren.
